South Florida to host expanded Anglo American Padel Cup in 2027

South Florida is set to welcome one of the fastest-growing international sporting events as the Anglo American Padel Cup returns for its second edition in February 2027.

The tournament, which pits the United States against Great Britain in a modern take on a historic sporting rivalry, will take place from February 4–6 at The Replay Club.

Following a dramatic debut in London in 2025 – where Team USA narrowly clinched victory – the event is expanding significantly in both scale and ambition.

Organisers confirmed that the 2027 edition will feature more than 100 players, up from 64 in its inaugural year, reflecting the rapid rise of padel on both sides of the Atlantic.

Here, Florida News Blitz writer Taylor Stephenson breaks down the huge news from the padel world…

A Milestone Moment for Padel

The 2027 edition will feature more than 100 players, a significant increase from the inaugural 64, with expanded Open and age-group divisions (40s, 50s, and 60s).

Players will compete in multiple matches across the three-day event, raising both the intensity and depth of competition.

Event co-founders described the upcoming tournament as a major step forward for the sport: “Following the success of London 2025, we are thrilled to announce The Replay Club as the second host of the expanded Anglo American Padel Cup, in February 2027.”

“In Replay, the Cup has a fitting first American host venue in South Florida, an area of the nation leading the way in terms of padel’s adoption, growth, and excellence.”

They also highlighted the importance of the tournament’s expansion: “Additionally, the expansion of the player field to over 100 players marks an important milestone for the Cup.

“By increasing participation and introducing a university pathway, we are creating a more inclusive and competitive event reflecting the rapid growth of padel in both countries.”

New University Division Introduced

One of the most notable additions to the 2027 event is a new University category, aimed at developing the next generation of talent.

The initiative is designed to provide young players with a clear pathway into elite competition while strengthening the sport’s long-term future.

The move aligns with the Cup’s broader mission to grow padel at all levels while celebrating the historic sporting rivalry between the United States and Great Britain.

A Premier Venue in Palm Beach County

Hosting duties will be handled by The Replay Club, a 70,000-square-foot facility known for its world-class indoor courts and modern amenities.

The venue is widely regarded as one of South Florida’s premier destinations for racquet sports and wellness.

Replay Club CEO Alexander Ende expressed pride in bringing the international event to Palm Beach County: “We’re incredibly proud to host the Anglo American Padel Cup at Replay and to welcome this exciting international rivalry to Palm Beach County.”

“As the event continues to grow, it reflects the rising energy and momentum behind padel both locally and globally, and we are honoured to be a part of that growth.”

He also emphasised the experience the venue aims to deliver: “At Replay, we’ve created a space designed for exactly this kind of moment, where high-level competition, community, and atmosphere come together seamlessly… We look forward to delivering an unforgettable event for everyone involved.”

Building on a Breakout Debut

The inaugural 2025 event in London drew an audience of more than 9 million and delivered a dramatic finish that came down to the final matches on court.

It quickly established itself as one of the most significant padel competitions ever held in the UK.

With its move to Florida and a larger, more inclusive format, the 2027 edition is expected to elevate the tournament even further, both as a showcase of elite talent and as a symbol of padel’s expanding global footprint.

Looking Ahead

Additional announcements, including team selections, match formats, and ticketing details, are expected in the coming months.

As anticipation builds, the Anglo American Padel Cup’s arrival in South Florida signals a defining moment for the sport.

Bringing world-class competition and a renewed transatlantic rivalry to one of America’s fastest-growing padel hubs.
